Life Never Stops!

Hey there!

Been a really long time since I last posted... Sorry! It kinda has to do with the fact that I hardly have time to sit down at the moment and the last few weeks has been so hectic. We have been dedicating loads of our time to the barn and the butcher house. Anywho have a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzhu0VYBrPE&feature=plcp, my latest vlog video :)

Cheers to the freakkin’ weekend! Vlog will be up soon uncle Edd!

ANNNND another great weekend here on the other side of the world. I am busy making a vlog post at the moment it is just taking a while to edit, so it will be up in a couple of days. This week we got a lot more done on the ranch! Things are starting to slow down with things we need to do as the list gets shorter! It is really great to have a look at the ranch and Aly and I can say we did that all!! Its really a great feeling!

We sold the rest of the goats at the sale this week and once again could not leave without buying something. This is where Lady comes into the BAR family, J She is a little pretty Jersey cow. To add more to the morning routine we now have to milk Lady every chance we get to make sure her milk bags don’t get to full. The three stooges are doing great, Belle, Charlie and Rowdy are now eating grass and alfalfa and drinking on their own. The horses are all good, the humans are all good too. J

This week was a pretty pleasant week at the ranch. The guys to do the concrete for the barn are working on that at the moment, so we will be putting up the barn pretty soon. All the dead trees have been dealt with and are ready for our winter!

Friday was a really good day. We went up to Yosemite to go hiking. We started off at the bottom of the valley and hiked all the way past Vernal Falls and up to the top of Nevada falls. The trail is sometimes called 1000 stairs trail but I think way more than 1000 steps... LOL, okay due to the fact that there are over that many stairs on the trail, etched into the rock on the side of the mountains. It was a 3.6 Mile hike up to Nevada falls literally 45degrees up most of the trail. And then you have to come back down! So we pretty much Hiked for the whole day! I had a great day with Chris and Uncle Edd!! There are loads of amazing photos that we took that day and I’ll post them in my Vlog, I just need to pick all the best ones J

Then Saturday was a usual day at the ranch with Lady and General ranchly duties like fixing fences etc. Then we were off to the OC for a great party, there were actually loads of people there last night, I met Jen, Suzanne and Bob for the first time. Jen is Chris’s sister and Suzy is his aunt which was pretty cool. We had a great time with them. Tiffany, Kelly, Jackie and Sam all came by to and we ended up dancing the night away! We left around 2am which was pretty crazy. Russ and Aly are always so Hilarius on the way down Rock creek, giving me the usual crap! J

Today was pretty chilled too, worked in the morning and chilled the rest of the day, Aly and Russ took the bike out today and seems like they had a great time. Went to the movies in Angels camp and watched Flawless after we discovered the actual movie we had planned to watch hasn’t come out yet *FacePalm* ^^) It  was a pretty good movie none the less, a few parts that were a bit much to stomach but all good J

Anywho! Great weekend as always with the best company! Always hard work and even more fun! Will post the vlog video soonest!

Xxx Peace Love and Cookies!

Going on Diet the South Beach way! Getting down and dirty!

This weekend Aly and I ate so much junk food and drank way to much good tasting and extremely fattening stuff!! I picked up 3 pounds, YEAH I know right!! LOL. So we are starting the South Beach Diet. Every morning shot of Apple Cider Vinigar, and our South Beach Bars... At lunch our South beach bars... For dinner, our South Beach Bars! LOL, okay its not that bad we are just not allowed high calorie foods, so pretty much chicken and salads, a lot of cabbage, fruit and we are allowed small snacks like crackers and cream cheese etc.

My roasties are looking pretty horrible at the moment, omw, I burnt my nose yesterday and it is red, haha I look like Rudolf!! Aly’s finger is looking horrible there is defiantly some hardcore break in it. Muscles are still aching, tubing is dangerous! LoL, even with the serious muscles I’m growing. It was so funny the other day I was chatting to Brandon and when I showed him my arms he told me they were probably bigger than his!

Oh yes, I got a new bangle, again... I have a bangle tan because I have so many on my wrist. Got a new one from New Melonies Lake. PEACE! Lol. Aly and I also got matching ankle bracelets! I’m trying to remember all the things I left out of my post yesterday... Thinking thinking. J

Oh yeah on the ride yesterday we found this really pretty waterfall, obviously its not flowing now, but when the rainy season comes it will be gorgeous! The weather has already started to cool down a bit here. I think the highs are about 97 this week which is pretty great.

We got a show jacket for me yesterday, we still need to find crème jods... For the Hunter classes you can’t wear white. So jods and boots next. You are not allowed to show in jodhpur boots and gaiters, you have to have full boots.

So today we decided to take thedrag up to the top arena and drag the whole thing. Aly and I were caked in dirt!! I was in black pants and a black shirt and it was now tan! My hair was so light you couldn’t see my streeks. Aly could not even see out her glasses! The amount of dirt on us was hilarious! We just kept laughing and getting more dirty! I eventually had dirt caked on my eyelashes! It was super funny!

Our diet is going well, we are still following it! LOL, it was just a little difficult to not eat more and try get used to a bar for a meal. All is going good otherwise! ^^) We finally went to the council again and all the papers are good right now for the barn! Can’t wait to put it up!! Oh yeah, Pinky is okay J She is a little stiff but she is looking perky! The calves are now eating calf starter and Belle and Rowdy both drinking out of buckets. We are just waiting for Charlie to catch on.

Us ranch girls are all battered up!

The rest of this week was a great one, We got another feeder calf who is really cute. We named him Charlie. ^^) On Wednesday Aly had to work again, so I spend most of the day staining the deck. It was so hot on Wednesday to the point where I was dripping with sweat! It was hardcore!

G and I are getting better with the dressage, there are still a few things we need to work on because the last girl who rode him would ride only with his face, which makes him stronger and stronger. So I have to spend a lot of time bumping him off with my leg instead. We have finally gotten the show entries in! I am doing a bunch of Hunter classes and a bunch on dressage tests.  We are leaving the ranch on Thursday morning staying over with the big horse trailer and then probably coming home on the Saturday evening. My Hunter classes are all on Friday and the dressage all on Saturday! Super excited! ^^)

We got loads done as usual and ran around like mad this week! This weekend was a pretty heavy weekend! I have not felt so beat up since I’ve been here as I do right now. I worked my ass off literally this week! Sweated way half of the rest of me! LOL<, just kidding! I wish!!

Friday we spend most of the day at the auction came home with a 700lbs Heafer Calf and a feeder calf. I swear we never leave without buying something from the auction. We invited Kent, Javier, Jordan and Chris over for a couple rounds of beer pong... I will stop right there... This is where all my injuries started. I came out of that one with a bruised but and thigh, a bump on my head and the roasties from a little earlier on! I guess thats what happens when you put a quad and a leadrope together, I have the worst roasties on my arm like ever, and omw are they sore! I’ll put pics on facebook.

Saturday morning was a usual work in the sun doing landscaping. Somehow, Jordan and Chris were still here, so we decided to cook this huge breakfast and stuff our faces! ^^) Great job! Riding later that afternoon in the sun pretty much killed Aly and I. Then where we got some more thigh bruises, feeding the calves! Rowdy and Charlie are getting extremely push and pretty much head butting us off our feet! Its pretty hilarious!! Painful at times, but we just laugh at eachother! They are so fast to that you can run flat out and they are still trailing right behind you. We went to the movies on Saturday night and watched the new Expendables! LOL, it was pretty brilliant! Was a great laugh.

Sunday we were up bright and early again to start up the landscaping again and finish my dressage tests and stuff J Then we decide to go off to the lake. We spend about 7 hours on the water, so thats where the sunburn came from. We bought a new twoman tube, the injuries continue... Then we start pulling the tube off the tower. One minute hello Tarryn, nex minute, Holy crap!! She’s flying... Haha, was pretty crazy!!! I sadley had to come down at some point, and yes it was like hitting a concrete wall, with my face, I literally got the wind knocked out of me. So I started getting brave again and I’m working my arms then my legs, so they are all stiff, not to mention the bruised on my shins from the tubing. I think I got winded at least 3 times and sprained my wrist the one time and was rocking a super headache! Then to add to it, tubing with Aly we both got whiplash a couple of times.

All I can say is thank goodness for the hot tub, Helps with all the aches and pains... Well we get home from the lake and its time to feed calves(in the dark) We get the quad out and we are driving along the fence and bam! A piece catches the quad and breaks Aly’s finger... Yip so we are filled with cuts and bruises and aching and broken parts! Very hard week for us! Aftewr the lake the usual pitstop in at the OC for burgers and then off home...

Monday morning, up early again to go on a ride with Jords and Aly... Yip once again bruises from our bratty horses. Splinters from fences and a couple more bruises.  BUT HEY, ALWAYS A GREAT LAUGH WITH GREAT COMPANY AND SUPER GREAT MEMORIES! We ran around like crazy today with all the shopping and stuff we had to do. Sadly we had to end the day with Cara and Via trying to take down a pig which was not to great, but we hope she pulls through. If not we are just gona have more sausage!

There is looooooads missing between but I’m sure you are getting tired of hearing it! LOL, anywho. Goodluck to Taratay for their show in Linbro this weekend!! Show them how its done! I will be at the Mother Lode Morgan Horse Show next weekend, wish me luck! J

Spending time with friends! Feeling a little less beat up.

So yeah I am having a great time making friends here and we are all just hanging out doing fun things, working hard and generally always having a laugh!! This morning when I got up it was super dark and I was tripping over everything when feeding everyone. At one point I tripped over my own feet! It was hilarious. Anywho, Got everyone fed and happy J Geez, trying to feed both those calves at the same time is almost impossible. Belle stands perfectly and sucks away while Rowdy is knocking me off my feet and jabbing me with the bottle, therefore pulling the bottle out of belles mouth... Gawsh it was a mission, but they are still cute as can be! They ran after me today for about 20 mins I could not get away from them, running flat out with these two crazy girls running after me.

So we then go for our ride, we rode for about 4 hours this morning. The weather was great for once. It was cloudy and there was a breeze which was great!! That lasted about half the ride then the sun showed his dominance and burnt them away. The rest of the ride we pretty much baked... Like cookies! We found this old cemetery on Mary-Anne’s property that was pretty trippy. All the headstones had fallen over, there was one standing and it was a wooden one that the engravings had worn off. There were loads of sunken in bits but it was pretty cool. They had died between 1860 and 1875. Most of them really young, like 2 and 17. What is weird though is that on the headstones they put the months too, like 2 years and 6 months or 17 years and 9 months. I wonder why they would do that.

Jordan and I are going to research why they did that. Another thing we want to know is why there is one white granite rock at every corner of the rock walls. Will let you know as soon as I do. ^^)  By this point we were already lost and it took a while to find our bearings and we eventually rode home. We had a pretty pleasant ride.

We then went through to Oakdale and stopped in at the Cowboy Museum which was pretty cool. Then off to the pool to have a swim and chill. Almost killed myself on the diving board a couple of times doing my ‘sweet’ ticks... Hehe. So then we went off to Tractor supply, went for root beer floats and then back home. It was a pretty chilled day. Had a good time with Jordan. J

My calf is still hurting when I don’t use it for a while and then have to walk on it. It seems to be fine though if I keep on using it. My back isn’t too sore anymore which is great! My yellow jacket bite is a little swollen and itchy but its not getting worse. ^^) And as for the headache, constant!

Still haven't found the camera so can't put those pics up :( Putting up the ones from today though!

Can’t believe that its already the middle of August!! Its crazy! J  Anywho, Stay fab!!

A productive week, A literally “crappy” day, a perfect weekend and a beating Monday!

I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I have been so busy it is crazy! Lol. We got a lot done this week that we wanted to. We fixed the hog pens, to try keep the ducks from eating the pig feed. We painted the small boat all camo colours so that it looks like reeds for when we go fishing. Stained the deck. Been bottling calves and tagged them. There were a few small things we got done too that I can’t really think of right now. We moved stuff from the big tack room to the new tack room and a bunch more J

Friday was apparently just not my day!! Started off as usual, feeding everyone etc. I did notice though that the surrogate hen lost another baby, so she has 8 yellow and 10 black babies now, that’s a serious amount of kids to look after and she is doing great! She has only lost 5 so far and she is a first time mom so I think she is doing pretty well. G decided that he would break out that morning and be miles out in the field with the mares. So I trek across the pasture, pretty much all the way to the border fence in my pj’s!! LOL, Yeah I rocked it! Alyson finds it hilarious that I do all these strange things, lol, she calls me weird... So I ride G back to the ranch (in my pj’s) ;) then carry on with the day.

Friday is Auction day so we decide to take ducks to the sale. Me being a bright spark decide to put all the wrong ducks in the kennel, so I now had to take them out after they had shat all over the kennel. This is where my shitty day started! Covered in duck crap. So I get all cleaned up and off the the sale we go! Aly as usual gets into the conversation and we miss our turn, lol. We are so used to it now we just laugh and carry on. There was a guy that was selling poodle pups!! Alyson’s weakness!! LOL, originally when Aly went to get a poodle it was supposed to be a black male and then she came home with Gemma a white mini poodle!! J Hehe, anyway yeah we bought a black teacup poodle! He is really so tiny and the cutest thing ever!

We are sitting in the action hall with the puppy and they start brining feeder calves through. There was this really big and strong looking calf and well Aly raised her hand we got it for $38 which is a really good price for a feeder. Generally they can go between $100 and $250 for one calf. Then another really cute and little calf comes by and yeah we got her for $18 which is a REALLY great price, like we seriously scored! Then our poor little $5 calf came through, he was in really bad shape and they just said he needed some TLC so we got him anyway. Now we think we are done and as we are about to leave and “Pistol P”, the poodle puppy decides to pee on my lap! So number two for the day!! We left the auction to go fetch the trailer because we never thought we were going to come home with some more critters.

We get home finally and I can change my pants, we grab the trailer and truck back to the sale to fetch our babies. We get home and I start unloading the calves, they were in such bad shape I had to carry them out, I got the first two girls out and guess what...n I was now covered in cow shit... Number 3 now over with!! When I went to grab the next calf I noticed he had a broken leg... Thats obviously why they carried him across the sale pen, but they never mentioned that he had a broken leg. We filled them up with milk and water to rehydrate them and they started looking a little more perky. It was a little horrible though to watch the little guy try stand up with no leg, his shoulder was completely out and his bone broken right by his pastern. Was so sad, so we just bandaged him up and kept feeding him and maybe hoping he would get somewhere.

Matt came over to visit with his 8 little sale goats to come visit. Now these are the most horrible goats ever. They arrived at the auction in a hummer, with little goat collars on and they arethe most vicious horrible things, they bite you and they are just terrible things... LOL, I hope you noticed the sarcasm, for those of you who didn’t its okay! They are the cutest, they remind me of Mavis our little mountain goat. They are just smaller but just as friendly and the ‘Vicious biting’ is them trying to nurse.

So Aly and Matt decide that they want to castrate Lady’s man, our male pig. I was not particularly happy about that so we made a deal, I would catch him and then I could walk away... Needless to say that never happened. I couldn’t catch him so Matt did and he screamed like there was no tomorrow, it was horrible. So Matt now has this pig and Aly tells me to sit down, for a minute I was thinking HELL NO I’m not doing this and yeah I stepped up sat down. Matt showed me how to hold its legs and keep it between my legs a bit and Matt sliced the little thing open. The screams were crazy!! OMW, I had such a headache but yes now for number 4 I was covered in pig shit, mud and on top of that his ball sack blood.  But yes Aly was proud of me cause I manned up and got the job done. I think my ears are still ringing.

To end Friday off we needed some girly time! So we got all dressed up and went out. We had a really great night Aly and I danced our butts off while Russ and Danny played pool. It was a great night, real good start to the weekend!

Saturday morning comes and yeah up extra early to start Landscaping... This is a project that Aly has wanted to start for a while. It involves moving dirt from pile to a new pile where Aly wants her mountain like dessert garden, moving huge boulders from pile to a new pile where Aly wants to border her mountain like dessert garden. It was an exceptionally hot weekend, so we decided to stop working so hard at about 2 and took the little dingy to Salt Springs to putter around and cool off. It was really nice Aly and I just chilled. Then we got home late as usual, and were in trouble with Russ as usual!! LOL. Being late and we both still needed to shower and get ready!

We got all dressed up and looking good again to go off to Dave’s house for a party. Matt cooked a pig in a barrel, omw it was soo good! It was actually a small pig but tasty. That was also a great night. Met so many great people, and had a great time with my friends... LOL J

Sunday morning, up really early again, by now I was really tired from going to bed 1:30am and up at 4:00am two days in a row. The sun also pretty much takes the life out of you! We continue with the landscaping though... All morning, stacking boulders and rocks to make a wall. It looks really good so far actually. It is so hot though, like every 10 minutes or so you feel dizey and have to sit down. I hate the feeling but I guess it could be worse! Like I could be living in Arizona! At about noon Russ came out to ask us if we wanted to go to the lake, Aly and I were like Heeeeell yeah!

Jordan(Kent’s Niece) and Javier joined us on the boat and then we met up with Chris and a bunch of their friends on Kurts boat and Kelly and a bunch of her friends on their boat. Party in the cove! LoL, its great back there to just float around in the water with a drink while its so hot! We had a good time tubing too, we never tried the water-skis though, so that’s next weeks laugh! We were so tired we literally got home and passed out!

This morning another early start! Fed all the animals etc. It was Chris’s first time feeding a calf this morning, it was Hilarius!! Chris is so full of crap I’m glad he got some crap from that calf! The one is so strong she pushes you over and knocks the bottle around, Aly and I have bruises from her ramming us! Therefore her name is Rowdy, Aly’s calf. My calf is the cutest little thing, she is little and cuter than cute, I named her Belle. Oh yeah I named my pig Goat... J Just cause I am weird like that!

So Jordan, Aly and I got the big trailer hooked up to the truck, got all the tack in and fetched the ponies and off we went to Matts place up by Red Ranch. In fetching the horses I got stung again by another yellow jacket on the wrist, it swelled up so fast I now have a fat wrist! We had a great ride, even though it was stupidly hot!! Honey also decided that my calf was a good place to stand on and that made me a little lame. I think Matt now finds it funny to give me crap about all the animals, like telling me I should make slappers out of my puppy, or how I was the one that hurt the pig cause I was holding him! So I think he intentionally wants me to help just so he can give me crap. He asked me to help him put bands on the goats, so I’m now the horrible person again cause I grabbed all his goats and held them down while he banded them.

It was so hot at one point Jordan and I could not handle it so we went into the trailer and turned the a/c . We then climbed up into the bed to get closer to it and we both passed out in the living quarters. That was such a good power nap! J Then we trailed the babies home... Did the usual afternoon ranch stuff and now I am entirely tired and need to pass out!

Have to be up early again tomorrow because Jordan and I are going riding in the morning. We are riding up to a really old peasant graveyard where the headstones are even still made of wood. That should be fun! Then I have to finish staining the deck and look after Mr Pistol and the baby calves. I think tomorrow might have to be a slow day cause I’m limping like a tonsil... Need to rest my leg, I am so going in the hot tub, soak my bones!! J

Oh, I still haven’t found the stupid camera so I can’t put up my bday photos, will get them up asap, as soon as I find the camera! ^^) I probably missed out loads of the weekend, I’ll add on if I remember anything grand J

PEACE LOVE and COOKIES!!!

My birthday weekend! -- Monday again, lol, along with grass rash!

05 August 2012

Well! Talk about freaking amazing!! So the morning started off rrrreaaaallly early. Seeing as it was my birthday I finally got to open my present that my gran sent me! OMW! It is a gorgeous silver and pink jewellery set. Leaves, sparkles it is simply gorgeous!! I love it! Thank you soo much gran and grandpa!! ^^) Then to get the horses loaded up and ready to travel... We decided that morning that we were taking Ellie and Happy, both beautiful little mares. Ellie is actually Happy’s only foal that she ever had, the rest have not survived sadly! Ellie is a perfect Morgan mare, perfect confirmation and colour and a real great personality. Imagine the other perfect little babies Happy would have had. ^^)

Anyway, we drive all the way to Wolf Creek and the drive up there was so great. We drove over the Sierra Nevada’s. Then got to wolf creek and rode in them. It was breath taking, riding on these trails along the side of the creek, riding in great big forests with all kinds of trees, then through great big green meadows that almost look like an oil painting! Words can hardly describe it!! It is crazy. The girls were so good, up huge rocky embankments, down river beds, swimming in the creek. It was such a great way to spend my birthday! Doing something I love with all my heart and in such an amazing place!!

We found this perfect chill session rock in the creek so we tied the horses up, took off our clothes and went for a swim. The water was freezing, because it is the snow melt water, you do get used to it after a while! So after that we rode a bit more up the hill. There were some really steep places where I had to remind Aly we had to come back down that way lol. We did them both up and down, the mares were super duper! Those two horses are turning into great horses!  We eventually rode the trail back to the truck and the two girls were so good, they knew they had gotten back to where they hopped out.

We then drove into Nevada to go to Steve’s and Karren’s place for a Barbie. They surprised me with a birthday cake and singing, it was really great! Thank you guys sooo much!! ^^) I fell inlove with Steve’s dogs they are too beautiful... Great big Malamutes! Really gorgeous! I could not wait to have a shower, and yes... I slept in a bed just cause I’m cool like that! Alyson slept under the stars in the truck, bigger balls than me! Hehe, half way through the night I was freezing and had to turn the fan off and get under the covers, so I don’t know how she survived, lol. I also met Eric and Chris for the first time, Aly;s other brother and wife.

Then for the drive back, it was soo pretty we went past Lake Tahoe, which is HUGE, and soo pretty Gawsh!! Hehe, it was cool to drive through there. Then going through the mountains I could see Heaven’s Ski Resort, there was no snow up near the runs but there was snow on a couple of the other mountains! I really cannot get over how amazing all the different places I have been to here so far are! Its crazy!! ^^) So Hawaii next?? ;) Maybe!!

We got back Saturday and then went up to Sam’s for a Barbie, had a great night. J Sunday was a really chilled day, Made breakfast with Chris, Kurt and his girlfriend. Later on we ended up playing cards and watching loads of hilarious and utterly stupid stuff on tv! LOL, was nice to have a relaxing day.

So all in All I had a greeeeaaaat birthday weekend!! Thank you to everyone for the wishes!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

06 August 2012

So today G was a little bit of a pain, probably cause he got the weekend off, but he is still one super horse! Wow, he can so freaking jump!!  Its crazy!!  Then went on to work on the stalls again. We are getting further. So far we have laid the floor bars and bolted the steel down. I have taken the planks off of the old posts, which was such a pain to do, omw. So we are going places lol. The stalls will be looking great!! Yeah!

We are nearly underway with the barn!! YAY! Hehe, Yip, putting it up ourselves! So it shall be perfect!! We finished the pig pen too. There is always something to do on the ranch, you finish one thing and start the next, its crazy! Today I also scrubbed the boat as spotless as it can get so that I can paint it tomorrow, that was a half mission.

The feed store today had no pellets for the horses so we ended up getting a couple of Alfalfa bails, Those things are so heavy omw! So we just threw them on the quad to move them and then gave to the allocated aminals. Thus where I got my pain in the ass itchy grass rash from... Arg! Haha, yeah so I am nearly covered from head to toe with some sort of painful or discomforting thing! LOL, whether its bruises, cuts, scratches, rashes, calluses etc, you’ll find something everywhere!!

I got a parcel in the mail today from mom, Ian and Tay back home, it was a pretty cool to get something mailed. It is this really cool grey belt! ^^) Thank you soo much! Missing you stax love you all!

I am still having a great time here! Working hard still, loosing weight which is great!! ;) hehe. Yeah, so I think thats pretty much it for now, If I forgot something or you wana ask me something, don’t hesitate!! J

Peacekeys!!

Tazzy <3

P.S. I will post photos on facebook asap... Just having a technical difficulty locating the photographic devices... :P

Off to Wolf Creek to camp with the horses for my birthday.

Today was a great day, got thrown around a little by the horses but it was a good day of riding. We went up to San Andreas again today, had such a nice drive back, Aly and I got lost on the prettiest road ever so we didn’t mind! Was really beautiful!!! We stopped off at the OC on the way home for some pool with JR and Chris, had a pretty pleasent time! J Then back home for a movie and to get ready for tomorrow!!!

Yes! So its my birthday tomorrow and we are going up to Wolf Creek near Tahoe!! Just Aly, G, Happy and I... Yeah, we are going camping, just us girls with the horses!! ^^) Hows that for a great birthday!! ^^) Eeeep!! Really can’t wait! So I’ll be offline for the weekend!

My gran and granddad are the best I could ask for! My gran pre planned my present and made me not open it till my birthday, so I get to open that up tomorrow!!! She says that it was really special and she hopes I pass it on one day... So we will see whats in store. Thank you so much! Missing you like crazy!!!

Apparently my mom and them sent something in the mail... LOL, will have to wait and see how long that takes to get here!

Anyway, So we had a good day today, was hot!! As usaual... Hehe, I’m off to bed, early morning! All the horses are ready, all we have to do is stick them in the box and off we go. I think we are boxing to a stable first and then beginning the trail and then camping!! So exciting!!

Caleveras County Museum in San Andreas.(Pinch and a Punch for the first day of the month!)

Today I had the greatest ride on G!!!!! He was soo soft! This morning I literally just spend with Gbbers!! ^^) Fed the animals as usual and then sat for a bit organising show dates and what we are doing for my birthday!! Still trying to finalise shows!! LOL... Then went out to get G. Spend about an hour just grooming him because he decided to get all caked up with mud, tangled his mane full of burs, and had molasses all over his face!! We had a really great workout session for a couple of hours, then I took for him a trail ride. When I got back to the ranch I decided to bath the monster! Shampooed and conditioned, he looks so gorgeous!! ^^)

Then off to San Andreas to go to the bank and the Court to get approval for the barn J We decided to stop at the Caleveras Museum on the way home J It was really cool to see all the goods from years ago.

Then back home to continue work... LOL J Never stop I tell you! Have a look at the pics on facebook from today!

On to Plumbing and Rope Halters!

Yesterday Alyson and I fixed the ping pong table and cleaned out the covered patio area. Ping pong is a great way to just chill! Omw we have had sooo many laughs it is so fun!!

Today was a fairly hot day, the piggies were happy with all the scraps they got They have finally got names... Pinky, Babe, Ladies Man(aka ‘PIG’), Spot and Yorkie. J The chicks are all doing really well with their new hen all 23 of them! J

I had a couple of the nicest rides this morning, it warmed up so fast that I didn’t get to ride everyone I wanted to, will make up for it tomorrow. J Then we went into town to do some grocery shopping so we don’t starve and die! Lol, Another half pound lost! YAY!! Tehee! ^^)

We spend the rest of the day plumbing... LOL, fixing all the pipes etc. and putting in new fittings around the ranch... Yes another skill I have gained! J I am pretty much never going to have to hire a handy man or plumber or anyone like that... I’m just going to be doing it myself!! ^^)

The parts for the new barn were delivered today, so we have to lay a whole concrete floor and then put up the two story barn! J That should be eventful!! It is quite a nice shape barn so we will see how everything goes!

Proud mommy with 23 chicks!!
Oh yes, we have a new Calf! One of the cows had a new calf yesterday. It seems to be doing well. It was so funny we saw this black thing in the grass on the way home and Alyson sends me to go look, but now we know the cows around it are aggressive so she tells me to get ready to run... LoL, yeah run! Hehe, so I go up to the little bundle and its a new calf! At first we had to figure out who the mom was because none of them attacked me for some reason. J It was pretty awesome. It was Hilarious though, I tried to pick the calf up and it just flopped, not worried about me or anything, it was soo cute!

Pony Rope Halter.
We bought a bunch of rope to make our own rope halters... Well, it is not something simple to do.... WoW, this was such a pain in the but to get right. Aly and I had both never made one, or looked at one in detail! I swear sometimes what you are doing just looks like spaghetti, seriously go have a look and try make one! Its a bit of a mission, but we made two perfect ones eventually, I already remember most parts of how to make it so its not to bad now... J

Then off to move K-Line again... Gaw! Haha, that freaking thing is soo heavy!! Anywho, Lots still happening as usual!! J Alive and Kicking!!

After my haircut, forgot to put it in the last post!

Working harder and its getting hotter...

The rest of yesterday was pretty good. We finished putting up the round pen and it went up pretty easily... See, this is where girls rule, we plan ahead. Lol, so the pen is actually a circle which is great! We had finished most of the horse stalls. It was so hot eventually at about 3:30 we decided we were going to lake Hogan. Yeah another lake... J So we had a pretty good time there, it was so nice to cool off. We spend a couple hours there and then came back home and had a chilled night. I got to bed a bit late last night but I’m not too tired.

We have decided on our training schedule, we have been so busy with things at the ranch I have only been concentrating on working G and Red! I can’t wait to take G to the next show!! :D Here it is, I am obviously going to wake up at 5 as usual and feed etc. then I am going to ride Honey, Happy, Breezy, work Spice in the round pen, then ride G and Red. In that order... I am in for a couple of tiring days this week with temperatures reaching 109... Hot! LOL, We will def be going to the lake a couple of afternoons!

This morning started great, it was not too hot which was great! The horses broke the water valve again... So we have to manually watch the water again. They are ALWAYS breaking them!! Hehe, they chew everything they can fit their moths around, like puppies!! I was on my after feeding I came back in for like 20mins to wait for the horses to finish eating and when I went out again to tack up it was waaay to hot to even think about riding! So tomorrow I am def waking up earlier to feed!!

We needed to do a feed run so went into Tractor Supply in Modesto to grab some feed and tools. Its always a huge chunk out of the day because its far to travel into town but anyway we got everything we wanted except Alfalfa. So we drove around for a while trying to find some but we couldn’t. Eventually on the way back home we found a guy with a small yard selling rye hay with clover. So its okay for now I guess. This guys has such a green thumb though, we got talking with him and he showed us his little garden, he grows everything! Plums, grapes, corn, pumpkin, squash, oranges, sweet potato and so much more! He also has live stock, he has a few goats, chickens and cattle. He says if he ever goes to a store it is for flour and salt, the rest he gets out of his ‘farm’ even though its not huge! It was awesome to see that!

We back home now, its hotter than hell and we have to finish up building those stalls. So I’m off for now!! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I’ve lost 11.5 pounds since I’ve been here! Claps for mee!! LOL

OMG a LAMA Family!!!! (Hard work, and it defiantly shows!)

Friday was quite an eventful day. Before Alyson had woken up I had already done the rounds of feeding everyone and I had ridden G. At 8 we started getting the trailer and boxes ready to take to the auction. J It was hilarious trying to catch the goats, i have bruises and scratches in weird places! We laughed our butts off!! :D We took the 2 goats and the large rooster to the sale.

Its so funny when Aly starts talking about something passionately or she really gets into a song, because she generally misses her turn and I have to correct her! LOL. She will just carry on driving... J So we book the critters in and have a look around at what we want to take home!

There was this lama family mom, dad, and baby! They were soooo cute, but Russ won’t let us get a lama L We had a look through all the live stock. We ended up taking home two dozen royal blue chicks and four piglets.

We also took a Aussie puppy home for Kent and Javier! J This puppy is the cutest and smartest pup ever! He had never been on a lead and was walking with us like he knew exactly what he was doing! We decided to call him Smiley because it always looks like he is smiling, sooo cute! Javier and Kent love him too which is great! Apparently both his parents are working dogs too so that is a bonus.

Time to be girly, Aly and I went to the hairdresser! ^^) Aly ended up getting here dyed and highlights J I Got blonde and Red highlights and my hair cut. J

Yesterday we worked our butts off! So far we have done quite a bit of work on the ranch getting it to look a little better. We have worked away a few pounds lol J It really does show from when I first got here, its so cool to see the changes because I can totally say that was something we did! Well, we took down the whole pig pen, Taking the hog panels down was the easy part, moving the horse panels killed us, they are so heavy omw, its like three times my size!

We then took down all the horse stalls and put up a few more using different panels so that we could have our round pen panels back to work Spice. J We are half way done with the stalls and need to finish the round pen today. In for busy day today too.

Tragic happenings, and happy (half) endings.

26 July 2012 –

Last night was not too great at about 3am we are woken up by these hysterical chicken shrieks, the mother hen with her 12 chicks decided to stay outside the chicken coop, somehow the cat got to her and in protecting the chicks she started flapping at the cat, she got her wing stuck in the fence and ripped it clean off the bone, its just hanging by the skin. You can see the bone etc. I feel so sorry for this little chicken!

About 20 mins later we hear the pig now squealing, and Cara was after the other pig.... Somehow he got out his pen again, so we locked him up. Thank goodness he got behind the hot tub, otherwise Cara would have gotten him.

Gambler!
We wake up and the chicken is still alive, that was truly a surprise. I spend the whole morning riding G, Getting him to jump slowly and he is really starting to think and do it slowly and properly. Alyson said it looked good! I’m pleased about that, so I took him for a trail ride with good music. J I got back to the ranch and didn’t feel like not riding so Aly and I went on another ride in one of the other fields. J So a happy morning dedicated to the horses!!

We finally herded the right cattle out of the grass and now we have the right cows on the grass -Bones, the skinny dairy cow, Shortie, the hamburger steer, and Greedy Greta, the cow that was still nursing when her mom had another baby. Yay!! After three days of herding!! LOL J

Mother chicken left the chicken coop and was looking really bad, so we ran around catching baby chicks and giving them back to her in the coop. We are thinking about giving the chicks to one of the other hens, but we will wait till she passes cause she should have died and she is still trying to be a mom so we are leaving her!

We went off to Jackson today to fetch Suzie the pig. We butchered her a couple of weeks ago and were just waiting for the different cuts. We brought home Suzie and filled the whole freezer!! LOL, 200 pounds of pork! Hehe, yeah...

All the White packs are Suzie
All the boxes are full too.

Bacon!!

BLT’s for dinner yum!!!Yeah, we totally ATE Suzie, gosh I am becoming worse about not being a squeamish person. Then to sort out the other little piggy, Pinky... Put the chickens away, play with Gbbers! J All in all a good day! The chicken is still alive so lets hope she's good.

There are always bits and bobs in between that I can never remember but never a dull moment at the BAR! ^^) Thinking about going to the Prime Rib night at the OC tomorrow J aaaand Beer Pong this weekend!! Hell yeah!! Hehe, this is going to be fun! Moved K – Lines again tonight, the field is getting there. J

I am becoming quite domesticated! ^^) LOL!

Hey guys! So, I could probably run my own house hold presently. J hehe, I’ve got the dishes down, doing the laundry sorted, cleaning the whole house in my pocket and not to mention all the handy man work at the top! J Hehe, aaaand the cooking is still a working progress, I can cook a great meal with some help! Doing my laundry is really easy considering we have a dryer J haha, and none of my clothes at the moment need ironing... So that is not a problem ;) I hate having to fold the washing though, blegh that’s missions! I don’t mind doing the dishes J The cleaning is also pretty easy, it does get irritating though when you cant get something 100percent clean, that bothers me!

Yesterday I spend most of the day herding the cattle and watering the ones in the grass field, the troft was empty every 30 mins or so because it was so hot! I rode G and Red and they both seem to be getting better! <3 I love both these horses soo much its crazy!!! I worked with Frostie and Spice too, they are both really cute, Spice is one good looking Yearling. Frostie has some really great colour going on! ^^) It was seriously hot omw. The one hen’s eggs look like they are dying, so shes pushing them out one by one. It was strange I only collected one egg. Spoke to my gran and gramps yesterday, it is really so great to see them and chat a bit! I miss them loads!! I’m really glad that my gramps is so determined to get his internet, and “facemail’ working! HEHE< he got Skype to work, very impressed Love yoyu both soo much! I also had a quick chat with Tay and she would not stop mocking me for my accent... Haha, Tay I still love you!

This morning when I woke up to feed etc. it was very dark, almost looked overcast. Anyway, Alyson was on call today so we spend the morning outside, separating cattle etc. We then decided to make omelettes, hell yeah got it right! :D lol!! We cleaned the whole house making it all bright and shiny! (Except the cupboards with the not so shiny stuff hiding behind it) Hehe! We also painted the cealing in the kitchen and the entrance hall. It was the funniest thing, I was a little to tall to stand on the counter tops and paint so I ended up painting the top of my head a couple of times! LOL, got paint on my jeans and all over my arms and face.... Not a drop on the dressers, cupboards or floor! Legend!! HAHA!

We then started on the Closed off porch, J Cleaning everything out and moving things around, clearing the dust and getting rid of the crap. We did that till Russ got home and now we just started on dinner, so will finish that tomorrow.

I was soo tired today for some reason... Meh... Have no clue why... ^^)
Anywho, Still loving it here! Its my birthday next Friday and we don’t know what to do, any suggestions?? Maybe Universal Studios??? Sounds like it might be a plan!! ^^)

Lobster Mac and Cheese, Hot Wings, Olives and Mushrooms, Chilli Peppers, Hot Salsa, and Pasta!!

So since I have been here Alyson and Russ have challenged me almost every time we have eaten! LOL, so being a brave person, I decided to grow some man balls and try it!! The first thing was Javier’s Mac and Cheese, which incidentally had Lobster in it, yip I ate it. The whole dish together was really great actually! J

The next thing that Aly challenged me with was Spaghetti, this one was not too bad. J Not liking pasta I sort of just coped! Next Aly thought it would be a great Idea to feed me a grilled pepper, being fully aware of the fact that I can NOT eat anything spicy(apparently she got a kick out of it). LOL, We were at Lee-aan’s place, omw my mouth burnt for like 20 mins, it hurt to breathe!!! Aly had a piece and her eyes watered, so you can imagine how bad it was for me!!

We go through to the OC one afternoon and Aly starts again... Telling me I’m a sissy, lol. Well my stubborn side came out and hell yeah I ate the Hot Wings!!! I almost cried doing it but, I totally made it through!! ;) With Ice cubes and Soda I survived the experience!! Haha! Alyson now thinks my reaction to spicy food is hilarious, so every opportunity she gets, she bets me that I wont eat the hot stuff. Next was the Salsa.... Now this is not just any salsa, this is Roger’s salsa, with Roger’s home grown peppers, it makes Russ’s and Aly’s eyes water. So yeah I’m a pansy and had a little, Holy Moly!!!! I almost died!!! My mouth was on fire for like a day! haha, nope can’t handle the spice!!

We go off to Mikes Pizza Parlour and order a 2 in 1 for all of us to share, meat lovers, hell yeah that was yummy as hell, and a bbq chicken. So on a bbq chicken pizza there happens to be Mushrooms, Olives and then the normal, tomatoes, cheese, sauce, chicken, onions etc. But the part I’m worried about are the olives(worse than mushrooms) and the mushrooms(slightly less gross than the olives). Well, as usual they start with their trash talk, haha.... And I totally did put it in my mouth, chew and swallow!!! Yeah!!

I won’t say that I do eat mushrooms, Olives or Lobster now but I now have a real reason why I don’t!! Russ wants to try get me to eat peas, thats never gonna happen, like ever!! LOL!

Hehe, open to proving why I don’t eat certain things!!

Xx

Had a busy weekend! Jumping, The Lake and Great company!

Thursday I fixed up a bunch of jumps I can practice jumping G. J I am actually curious to see if Red can jump or not, so I’m going to test that this week. Its actually a perfect spot to jump in the grass field cause it is all flat and mostly soft cause it gets watered all the time!

Friday morning was clear out morning, we needed to clear out the spot where we are building the new barn so we spend the morning taking down the green house and putting all the wood into the ‘Extras’ pile. We took a fence down and now it was time to take out the t-posts, Aly and I get clever and we are going to use the bucket arm on the tractor... The first bunch were hard to get out but we got most of them out the ground. One of the posts had picked its spot and it was refusing to move, at one stage the tractors on wheel was even off the ground, and BAM.... We snap a heavy duty chain, and yes I was in the cross fire, so I have this huge bruise on my shin! Joyous occasions!! LOL. Its all fine now but I couldn’t even feel my foot for the rest of the day.

Great weekend so far though, been crazy busy but great! J Started off by going down to Kent and Javier’s place for a Barbie J lol, They are really lucky, they have an amazing view and a really amazing piece of land, I think they have like 250 Acres. Javier took us for a buggie ride all over, lol that was eventful! Hehe. We then went to Valley Springs and didn’t spend much time there we so we went back to the Ranch! Alyson and Russ are the funniest people ever!! Hehe, and Javier cracks me up with some of the things he says.... Then you get Kent!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!! He literally kills me! He will sit there and not say a word for the longest time, and when he does you literally want to crack up! So Friday night was a good one!

Saturday started off quite slow, I woke up at the usual time to feed animals etc. So I was a little tired after the previous late night! We then decide that we are going to round up the cattle into the grass field, haha, On. The. Quad!!! LOL... It was the funniest thing, I’m on the quad attempting to walk the cattle slowly but they are all over the place, Chris and Aly are on foot attempting to block the cattle. One of those, “Seriously ” moments, the walk up to the pen was fine, trying to get them in was another story! LOL!! Classic YouTube moment... I bet we looked like a bunch of retards...

Right after looking like tonsils with the cattle we decide to move the pigs... Haha... Well that ended up with a lot of running and going the wrong way, e.v.e.n.t.u.a.l.l.y we got it right. Hehe. We also herded the ducks to their pond. Saturday was like a herd me up day! The hen had her babies!!  She had 12 eggs and all of them hatched! So we have 12 cute little chicken babies running around! Last time she only had a few eggs hatch and only 2 survived, this time round looks really good though! ^^)

Saturday afternoon, off to the Lake(Better than saying ’Reservoir’(Which it is)  in SA known as a ‘Dam’) we go, we went to New Mellones this time cause Tuluc(Real Lake) is always busy and because its small it make the water choppy. Mellones  is huge, the water there was great. LOL, Steve seriously needs to spend more time in the sun he is WHITE, Like you need sunnies!! Hehe. So we went tubing and just hanging in the coves, it was really great fun! Alyson and I decide we are going on the tube together, haha, She ended up punching herself in the face a bunch of times, and I’m like laughing my but off! Then she starts screaming when it gets a bit rough, Her and I laughed so hard, that it was hard to stay on!! Haha, Eventually Russ got what he wanted by getting us off, I literally flew over Aly and ‘skipped’ across the water like a stone!!! Haha, More laughing!!

I decide to go on the tube on my own, now Russ wants to have some fun, but not a chance he was gonna get me off easily!! Hehe, he was eventually whipping the tube left and right over and over to get me off, but I’ve learnt the trick to staying on!! J LOL! He got me off at the most random spot ever, I wanted to kick myself, He does this 360 and I hold it and as he comes out of it he whips the boat the other way, I couldn’t get my weight shifted fast enough and ended up skippin the water again!! I swear this weekend I could have died from laughter!!! HAHA!!! The next time I bailed off the tube was all Chris’s fault, we went for a pretty long time and then he let go, and doing so grabbed me and dragged me down with him... haha, I was not impressed lol, I was about to break the boats tubing record!! Haha!!

So Steve and I have decided that we are writing a bunch of songs to sing at the OC and around here. Steve’s songs are pretty good and he needs a girl to sing a couple of him so we are going to start working on that! J I think it will be really cool if we end up actually finishing and recording them! Our new song though pretty much wrote itself this Saturday on the boat, haha One liners thrown around the whole day being completely hilarious!!

Had such a nice drive back down Rock Creek Road this morning, I love driving down it! It is sooo beautiful!! The view is amazing etc. I just try to ignore the fact that its a one lane road with a 150ft canyon on one side... Hehe, I just pray that there is no traffic when I’m going down or up there! ^^)

We went to the California State Fair today to watch Alejandro do a demo. It was loads of fun, Alley talked me into going on this one ride that swings and rotates at the same time... They were playing great music which made me relax ^^) haha, with my fear of heights, I was singing along to the song, waving my hands around and having a good time, it was quite fun... Aly on the other hand, who had convinced me to go and was completely her idea, did not open her eyes once and held on for dear life!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Yes another laughing attack!! Hehe, so we had a great time at the fair, riding rides, eating, drinking and spending most of our time with the livestock and the horse show was obviously our main event! ^^) hehe.

Gosh, you can’t believe though how hot it was today, even after we left we start driving home with the AC on and its not too bad. We get home, open the doors and Smack!! We get hit with this huge heatwave in the face, like we were in an oven, its was 101 at 6 when we got home and now its still 96 and its 8!! The sun is still even up, looks like its gona go down later tonight! J

Missing everyone stax back home. I wish I could just have a good Skype session with my mom, technology - only a great thing when it works. Aywho, love you all! I really hope all is good at home!!

If you don’t have me on fb search for Tarryn Griffiths to have a look at all my photos J

Stay Excellent.

Been so busy!

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while... I have been so busy, with the horses and the ranch etc. J The bailer is still in the project list, we haven’t gotten that sorted yet. This morning we ordered some new parts for it to see if that will help us getting it going.

Wow, its crazy to think about the amount of stuff I have learnt while I’ve been here. How many people back home can say that they know how to drive two tractors, know all the names of different tools and what they’re for, have sat and operated a 100 year old field rake have taken out the floor of a trailer and on top of that know exactly how a 67 New Holland Bailer works and how to take it apart and back together again.

Then there are all the things I have experienced so far, like Vegas, the Grand Canyon, deathly jumps at the Lake ^^) I am seriously one lucky girl to be in such an amazing place and having such a great time!

I jumped G for the first time, omw HE IS AMAZING!! He clears every fence with at least two inches to spare! I spend the whole day yesterday lugging logs, tires and barrels from the big field so that I could make some jumps in the hay field. That took me most of the day, so I have about seven or so jumps up J There is still a bunch of stuff that I brought down that I haven’t used yet, so I can make some more jumps J Can’t wait to jump all of themtoday!! ^^)

Busy Busy Busy, all the time! I am still having a great time here, working my but off! Sorting plans for the new barn, so exciting J Yip, I pretty much think that’s it... J

I think engineering might be my new calling!!

Its pretty windy and quite nippy out tonight, I forgot to feed the pigs so had to run out there quickly and do that! It takes a while for your eyes to adjust, lol almost bailed in the dark a couple of times... The funniest was trying to find the pigs feed bucket! Hehe.

The whole day today was spent on the bailer again.... OMW, we have the bailer moving, picking up grass and pooping it back out again. . . No string, No knots and No bails... -.- We have taken the bailer apart over three times, moved and adjusted pretty much everything possible. The knitters are in time with the plunger, which is in time with the fly wheel, which is in time with the needles... And still NO BAILS!!! Gosh, we have broken string, had it all stuck and knotted in the knotters. We have broken chains, I busted up my pinky, Aly broke her Index finger, we have had grease everywhere, we still have bruises everywhere and today.... The bailer decides to, snap both needles off, smack bang in the middle.... Like the point where you look up at the heavens and scream “COME ON!!” Anyway, so back to the drawing board with the bailer. I think by the time I go home I may know more about tools and equipment than Ian! LOL!

We went up to the OC again today and I totally rocked hot wings... hehe, I may have 10 more hairs on my chest and a num tongue, but I ate them!! LOL. Kelly was there with her grandson Noah, the cutest little boy anyone has ever seen! Blonde little blue eyed boy! CUTE!
Pretty much a normal day at the ranch today! Oh, I did two loads of washing today because I keep forgetting to do it, hehe, yeah I’m becoming pretty domesticated! HAHA, whatever... ;)

When we got home all the goats were out, so I had to go herd them back in and fix the fence! hehe, Goatses!! ^^) I spend some time with G too, Such an amazing horse! Soo pretty! It is such a trip to watch the sun coming down, and just being able to look across the field and see the cattle and horses with the sun and the hills behind them! I am so lucky to be here!!

I have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Brandon today!(17th in SA) I hope you have an amazing day babe!! xxx

I’m off to bed, got a long day tomorrow! ^^) Have a great one guys!

Go Giants!! San Francisco today for the Giants VS Astros!! ^^)

Tickets
As usual we started the day with the normal farm stuff, surprisingly today the chickens had laid no eggs??? Hmm... Confusing one, anywho J then it was off to the freaking bailer again to fiddle around and see if we can get it going... Annnnd, nope. I went off to get the mares from across the road and help them back under the bridge so they could get water, lol they got across but couldn’t get back. Silly things J. I collected some of the bailing grass for Red cause he still can’t go with G or be by the fence with by the mares cause he thinks he has still got it ;) hahah!

We moved some of the k-lines around this morning to water in different sections and then Steve and Karen arrived, Steve is Aly’s brother. So we were waaay excited to go into San Francisco today. The drive in was really beautiful, we came in on Bay Bridge today and SF is really gorgeous!! It was only 68 in SF, a lot cooler than at the ranch! ^^)

From our seats
We get to the AT&T Park and there are so many people lol, it was crazy, they had (I think) 42,300 people today a sell out!! J Was so awesome! The vibe there was amazing, I honestly can say I like baseball now. The Giants won, of course! It was so close now, We were scared at one point, but they pulled through! J The score was 2-3 to SF Giants... LOL, now you can see how both teams are great with like hardly any runs! We didn’t get to see a homerun though, but I really don’t think this will be my last ball game!

Haha, Aly and her ;faces; are priceless!

We got cool Orange Giants Sweatshirts! Oh yeah, lol they are my team :P! The trip back home seemed longer, but I guess it is because on the way there you are excited about going somewhere... It was a really great day though! Something I loved being at. We sat right between home base and first, great seats!! ^^)

We came home, and as usual the work on the ranch is never done! Hehe, So we took apart the k-line and moved it put it back together again. We also collected more grass for Red and put G back at the top J

Other side of  the stadium looking at our seats.
What can I say... I am a farm girl! Hehe

13th and the 14th - So far a great weekend! ^^)

Friday the 13th! What a day!

LOL, so my Friday was a great one, we messed around with the bailer all morning, were covered in grease again. ^^) We did make progress though J Got the bailer turning on the P.T.O, and then... the chain snapped and after that it went downhill, the safety bolts just kept snapping one after another. Got my finger caught in between the roller and the bailer and it hurts like a *****! Its like strange colours though, tehee...

At about 2 I got a call from Chris, he wanted to meet at the lake and go out on the boat. We decide to go and off to the lake we go! Okay pit stop at the OC, ^^) hehe, Bacon Cheese Burgers and drinks. Then off to the Lake we went, stopped at the bar and had long conversations with our bar tender while we waited for Kurt and Chris to come grab us J. Then we got on the boat and went to the cove party area on the lake and swam and chatted etc. J LOL, I got chucked in a couple of times... Oh yeah, we went tubing, hahaha! I think I was not fit enough for the tubing part... hahaha, I bailed for absolutely no reason about 3 times!!

We left there and went back to the ranch and I get another call from Chris saying that he still wants to hang out at his parents place, so we go up to Copperopolis with them to his parents house, and omw, it is beautiful!! This house is pretty amazing!! J Its on a golf course which is pretty too. We all played pool ;) The stars are so pretty out there, you can literally see them all.

We decide that we are going to drive around the estate in their golf cart, its now pretty cold and the sprinklers are on so here are Chris and I soaking wet and now all ice cold on the cart.... I think its hot tub time!! Hehe, yeah its now about 2:30 in the morning and we all go back to Chris’s house to crash for like 2 hours, then wake up freaking early to come back to the ranch... LOL, we woke up at 5 to come home so I could leave on time for the ball game....

LOL, which turns out to be tomorrow!!! LOL, sometimes I wonder how Aly and I make it througha day! Hehe. So now I get home and meet Aly in the lounge and she just chuckles at me, “did you just get in?” Me : “yeah”  BWAHAHA from Aly and my side!! OMW, this is the part where the night starts catching up and omw did I feel bad. So here I am feeling like ass burgers and I need to do the usual farm mornings... Luckily feeding the creatures etc. helped me with the nausea a bit... LOL, “I’m never drinking again” --- “Until next weekend”. ;) hehe

We spend the morning on the bailer again, even though I felt soo bad. LOL, I’m a tough cookie. We have the bailer running but, there are a few weeks that need to be sorted. It is not knotting the bailing string which is kind of irritating and we have the timing and everything right. We have taken it apart more than 3 times... I can honestly say I have had more experience with farm tools and equipment than everyone back home... ^^) LOL, I’ve started driving the Kuboa Tractor whilst towing the bailer and working the P.T.O Drive J Yip, totally a farm girl!!

We worked till dark tonight, it was so pretty out, nice sunset etc. J It is so perfect, the horses silhouette’s and the mountains and the sun fading behind them! I honestly love it here! I am loving every moment here and every experience! Aly and I were too lazy to turn the gusher off today so we decided to move the k-line while the sprinklers were still running... LOL! Bad idea! We were soaking wet, like dripping when we went back in the house, but it was really so much fun to just be stupid like that and trying not to get wet even though the line was attached to the back of the quad...

We are going to the Giants game tomorrow, first base seats! I can’t wait!! OH EM GEE! Hehehe! Anyway, still kinda tired from last night and not entirely recovered. I hope you guys are still enjoying these posts and what I have to tell... Still open to any pointers or suggestions that you would like to hear about or anything you think I should change! J

Peacekeys!
