My friends think I go to dodgy places…

So last night was Energy Festival at The Voodoo Lounge on Linksfield. As usual some of my friends bailed, but we still had an amazing time with those that were there! For those of you who don’t know, Energy Fest is a huge Trance/EDM(electric dance music) party! There are 9 different dance floors that all have their own set of DJ’s playing the whole night! It was a really good night! Apart from the one fight scene where a chick got stabbed, yeah, stabbed! This real hardcore girl went all gangster with the whole smash the bottle on the corner of the table thing and actually stabbed this other girl in the leg, well there was blood everywhere and we kind of left earlier than expected, but quite a bit later than usual! Hehe, true Fest! Well all of that got sorted, the girl who did the stabbing was arrested and the girl who got stabbed rushed to hospital. So, besides that drama it was a really good night! With all my great buds as usual! ^^)

Then was off to work WAY too early this morning… Uh, head, work, maybe not such a good idea, BUT we pull through! Made it through work and when I was done my lovely family greets me with choco pancakes, YUM! So that adds like 4kg to the but! lol!

Had a really busy day today, fitted in Homemakers fair between work and the game. Looked for all new stuff for the new house, haha, yeah includes wine ;) Always. Some of the stand boys have some real talent, and others well “Hot from Far and Far from Hot” haha, as Taylor would say. Surprisingly Taylor and I got along pretty well today, usually it’s ripping off each other’s heads, but today I even got two compliments and strangely both being about my looks. Taylor is convinced that if you had to put the two of us together you would have the perfect female! She says that with her body and my face we have a jaw dropper of a hottie, *facepalm* this coming from my 13 year old sister!!

I was really chuffed with my team today!! 5-2 Arsenal!! Go my boys! Ian was really upset though, being a Spurs fan and all, *rollseyes* Ah well had a good time at the pub, this is when Tay piped up with her next comment.  Her words “Tarryn, seriously let him take a photo that way he might be able to close his mouth for a bit”, my reply all puzzled was “Sorry? What on earth are you going on about?” Then she tells me I’m too beautiful and should no longer go out with her because she is tired of giving guys the death stare. Hahaha, seriously some alien has taken over my sister’s mind!! This is not her!! What happened to hating me?? Ah, well Its kind of nice actually to get along with her for once.

Work again early tomorrow, Bleh… Have quite a bit to get done before my deadline, in semi-stress mode. Now to relax and hopefully finish reading my book, I’m reading Tequila at the moment on my tablet, I have read I think 3 out of the 26 I planned to read before May, so gotta get my but into gear!

Another busy day.

Well today was a  really long day... I was at the SPCA in Midrand again today. There is a really nice female lab there wirh 4 pupps, she cam in on Saturday, and was skin and bone, her pups are all healthy but she has a problem with her hip at the moment. The SPCA has a clinic section but no facilities for x-rays, so I, being the 'over achiever' I am, took it as my own duty to help this lab. I phoned one of our reglar horse vets and descibed the situation and he seemed really keen on helping us, the female lab is booked in for tomorrow, hopefully we can sort out what the problem is. Then another problem, with the major storms we have been having, the largest tree on the grounds had fallen over, into all the dogs outside runs! So this leaves the dogs in their cages for much longer than we would like. That will hopefully be sorted tomorrow.

Then I was off to fetch Taylor, my lil sis, from school, I saw a few of my old friends fetching their younger siblings too. Had to drive my mom home today, she caught something from her work partner and is feeling really sick! Shame man!

This is me in a small town called Wakkerstroom. The two friends I have with me are part of a wild herd of about 13 horses. Wakkerstroom is pretty all year round and I love visiting the 'two stop street town'. ^^)

So no further plans so far, for America but with mom 'man down' we will sort it  as soon as she is better! I spoke to Ally, the woman I will be living with on her ranch, she said that she has 7 horses so far that she would like me to ride(3 english, 4 western) and if she is happy with their progress I will be entering World Championships! I will be competing in, jumping, dressage, western pleasure and a few others... :)

My favorite place to be, with Nature!

Tomorrow is the anual Energy Festival! Got many of my best friends joining me! It is going to be one serious party! It's at Voodoo Lounge, I think your experience of a certain place is not the party or vibe(although it contributes) but more the people you are with.

Have a great weekend! I'll be telling my USA story sooner than you think, time usually goes faster than expected!

What's happing now...

Just to get a few things out the way first! This is Panache and I, at her first show. She is a 4 year old thourghbred that i have been riding for a friend while my mare is out of work. I was so proud of her, we had many firsts that weekend, first bath, set of plaits, first outride and obviously her first show! She shocked the whole of Taratay with ger good behaviour, Panache is usually a little bit of a stubborn mare on home ground. Oh, Taratay is our stable yard, run by my mom(Debbie Griffiths) as head instructor. I also instruct all the little kids just starting out before I hand them over to her. Taratay is one big family! I don't want to brag, but Taratay tends to clean up equestrian events in our Green Glory!

The reason for my mare being out of work is thanks to the fact that she got herself knocked up! LOL, shows good parenting on my part, Just kidding! So Bornfree, my love and joy, will be having a foal with Spice Gold, one of my moms prize appaloosa stallions. So theoretically the foal should be a Sport Horse.

So that's pretty much what is happening with my horses. Work wise, I work for a Company called Compstat, I am a Digital Marketing Consultant. That's pretty much all I want to say about work...

So now we get to the important bits, The plan so far is that I will be leaving for America on the 24th April 2012. I have to still get my VISA sorted but that's one of next week's worries. Anywho I will keep you updated as to what is happening and when! I cannot wait to tell you my USA adventure story!
